Job Hunt Update

Today’s Word

*2 : a person characterized by reclusive habits or outmoded or reactionary attitudes

Over the upcoming future, my daily entries will be focusing around my job search; both in Washington, DC and Bristol, VA/TN (Tri-Cities, TN).  Today, I revamped my resume and cover letter to focus on Bristol.  I'm probably over qualified for most positions here in the Tri-Cities region.  However, I must add that while I may be over qualified, I do bring to the table professional creativity, insight, and experience that is uncommon here in this area.  To me, I would think that most people would consider that to be a "good thing"; as my friend Martha could be quoted as saying.  I'm certainly of the same mindset when she was standing there in snow laden ground of her Connecticut estate in front of reporters holding a hand-full of lemons; remarking on her release from prison "I'm going in and make myself a delicious cup of hot lemonade".  Now, did she not?  Hasn't she been the one laughing all the way to the bank with success and profit while the "home monitoring device" beeps "My Way" at the probationer's desk!

Thats what I'm doing with the lemons which I've received from these troglodyte HR weenies whom I've had the honor, pleasure, and luxury of coming into contact with here recently.  Thank you Joe for sending me the email making the suggestion.  I think its a great suggestion for my blog.  How did I do?  By the way, I copied your email suggestion to the "comments" section of my blog.

Today, I'm GRATEFUL for: Emotion, feelings, and happiness.

READERS:  Your thoughts are VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO ME otherwise I'd not open my life to you like I do, particularily to those of you who have been given the link directly.  I offer my sincere thanks and appreciationfor your comments about this posting.  Please click the link below to post them here.

You are putting in some interesting words in your journal.  I believe your comments should include the word of the day in a sentence that is germain to the topic you discuss.

Troglodyte would be a perfect word to describe some of the HR people that you've had the pleasure of dealing with lately.
